When can I apply?
Startups can submit their interest to participate throughout November 2025 from our website and finalize their application data during this period. To apply to the program please visit the Apply now page.
Which regions are eligible to participate in the program?
Startups that operate in Turkey or are looking to enter the Turkish market are eligible to apply to the program.
What stage of a company are you looking for?
We are interested in startups that have received early or late seed funding, have commercialized their product or service, and are currently operating live.
I'm not a fintech. Should I apply?
Yes, we do not limit applications to fintech startups only. Startups with solutions that could support the financial services ecosystem are encouraged to apply. We are looking for innovative, scalable startups that can bring value to the ecosystem.

Is a separate application required for the EBRD Star Venture program?
No. Startups selected for the Mastercard Lighthouse Türkiye x EBRD Star Venture program are not required to apply separately to each program. Selected ventures will automatically be included in the joint curriculum.
What happens after I submit an application?
Shortlisted startups will be invited to Mastercard Istanbul office to present to the selection committee. Those who succeed in this presentation round will be selected to participate in the program.
Program
What is the collaboration between Mastercard Lighthouse Türkiye and the EBRD Star Venture program?
This year, Mastercard Lighthouse Türkiye is being carried out in collaboration with the EBRD’s Star Venture program. Six startups selected for the program will be continuing to the EBRD Star Venture curriculum following the completion of the Mastercard Lighthouse Türkiye curriculum.
What additional support is provided by the EBRD Star Venture program?
As part of the EBRD Star Venture program, funding support is provided for advisory services and participation in international events, along with access to EBRD’s global investor network.
How long is the program?
As a part of the Mastercard Lighthouse Türkiye x EBRD Star Venture joint program, selected startups benefit from a comprehensive support program lasting up to 18 months — starting with the 3-month Mastercard Lighthouse Türkiye curriculum, followed by up to 15 months in the EBRD Star Venture program.
What happens after the program?
At the conclusion of the program, there will be a Demo Day event where program partners and industry executives will participate. During this event, companies will showcase their businesses.
By participating in Mastercard Lighthouse Türkiye you become part of our alumni network, which remains active through ongoing communication and meetups.
Does the program have a winner?
No. The program does not declare a winner, as it is designed to provide equal visibility, support, and opportunities to all selected startups. Selected startups graduate at the end of the program, marked by the final Demo Day event.
Is there a shareholding commitment requirement?
No. The program does not require participants or partners to provide investment guarantees or commit to equity acquisition. Participation in the Mastercard Lighthouse Türkiye x EBRD Star Venture program is free of charge, and you will have the opportunity to connect with various investors throughout the program.
